MBA Grading Practices Information
MBA operates on a 6 day rotating schedule with core academics including Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, World Language, and Success Seminar taught on a trimester basis.
Other unique components of the schedule consist of the following:
- Seven 50 minute instructional periods
- Unified Arts program (Art, Technology, and Life Skills) on a trimester basis.
- Introduction to Spanish and Introduction to French offered in grades 7 and 8 to provide students with a foundation for cultural knowledge and understanding as well as language acquisition. The courses are full year and serve as an opportunity for students to make an educated decision about the language direction they choose to take when entering high school. No high school credit is offered for these courses.
- High School Level Algebra 1 offered in 8th Grade
- Introduction to Band and Chorus classes as well as Advanced Band and Chorus class are offered along with more specialized lesson opportunities.
- Electives offered in Music, Digital Literacy, and Creative Literacy
- 30 minute Advisory period every two weeks for social-emotional learning opportunities.
- Intervention in Reading, Writing, Math, and Executive Functioning offered as needed.
